7. Making Recheck Appointments

A recheck appointment is used only when an animal experiences complications or problems related to their spay/neuter surgery.
Examples include:
- Infected incision
- Lethargy
- Other post-surgical concerns
Because recheck appointments track important data about spay/neuter outcomes, they cannot be used for general checkups or wellness visits.
Scheduling a Recheck Appointment
- Open the Spay/Neuter Calendar.
- Select the date, then click Make Recheck Appointment.
- Reminder: Recheck appointments only apply to successfully recorded spay/neuter surgeries.
- Any other type of recheck should be scheduled as a Wellness Appointment.
#_ Enter estimated start and end times (optional if your clinic does not assign times).
- Choose either Public Client or Volume Client.
- Click Search Animals.
- Search by animal name, number, or owner.
- If the animal is not found, confirm that the spay/neuter surgery was recorded and checked out in HQ.
- Refine search criteria if too many results appear.
#_ Select the correct animal, then click Make Appointment or Make & Checkout.
