26.1. All About HQ

Clinic HQ is a cloud-based software designed for high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinics (HVSN). As of 2024, about six hundred HVSN clinics use HQ worldwide. Most are located within the US and Canada. We also have one clinic in New Zealand, Mexico, Nicaragua, and one in Israel.

Here's what users of Clinic HQ did in 2023.

• 1,834,784 successful spay/neuters.
• 1,059,005 wellness appointments.
• 2,893,789 total checked-out appointments.
• About 70% of spay/neuters were for cats.
• About 70% of wellness appointments were for dogs.
• About 80% of animals are owned, and 20% are unowned.
• Out of the unowned animals, about 83% are cats, mostly community cats.
• An estimated 5.5 million births were prevented in 2023!

Our mission is to reduce animal suffering. We do that by creating and maintaining software for HVSN clinics, as well as creating systems to provide care to those animals as quickly as possible. HQ is a software, but it is also a set of systems.
